February 2018: We’ve updated our website! Hopefully you will enjoy the new look and scrolling through the pictures. Thank you!
OLD NEWS & EVENTS:
December 2017: Launched Daddy’s handmade skiff and moved her to Atlantic, NC, right on Core Sound. Jethro Quidly and Daddy (Julian Hamilton, Jr.) built her in the late in the 1980’s, and she has been dry stored in the workshop ever since.
April 2016: Purchased a brand new 2016 4-stroke 30 HP Tohatsu for the Green Boat. She now rides like a dream! After 30 great years using the Suzuki, the electronics just couldn’t be replaced anymore…
January 2015: Homer Smith’s Docks and Marina. It’s the final word. It fits the lifestyle of the Jumpin’Mullet! 24/7 access, world class marina, deep water, right beside Gallant’s Channel and ten (10) minutes from Beaufort Inlet, and great local folks to work with! Plus, it’s right across the street from my house (and guest house).
January 2014: I really enjoyed staying at Pivers Island Marina, and even installed a street light there, but moved the Jumpin’Mullet to the Beaufort Boathouse at the eastward end of Front Street in Beaufort. I have to admit, it’s really nice and world class there!
January 2013: Sea Gate Marina has been wonderful for the past 5 years, but moved the Jumpin’Mullet to a new wet slip at Pivers Island Marina. Beaufort Inlet is so much closer…
Spring 2007 – Purchased the Jumpin’Mullet brand new from Morehead Marine. The economy is great, what can go wrong? Ha Ha Home port of Sea Gate Marina on the ICW near Newport in Carteret County, NC, was a great place to be!
Year 2001 – Purchased a 36′ President. She was fun to live on and cruise the waters of eastern North Carolina, but not much of a fishing boat. She only lasted a few years…
Year 1986 – Purchased the Green Boat and 30 HP 2-stroke Suzuki. From Wilmington, NC, to Ocracoke, NC, and everywhere in-between, the Green Boat was there…
